RIVALS

Two-nil down after twenty minutes, a man sent to cool down on the touchline, and the loudest away end Harrier Park has hosted all year. What followed was the finest half of youth football this club has produced — and a 3–2 comeback no one present will ever forget.

Cole halved the deficit from the spot on 34 minutes after Leo Martins was clipped in the box. Then came the moment: a 22-pass move, finished by substitute Aiden Park with virtually his first touch, two minutes after half-time. Harrier Park erupted — and the belief was suddenly all navy and gold.

"At 2–0 I told them the only thing beaten was the scoreline. They played like they believed me — that takes character no drill can teach." — Coach Amara Diallo, U16 Head Coach

Winner in the 78th

With legs tiring, Martins cut inside and curled the winner into the far corner from eighteen metres. The bench emptied. The away end fell silent. Full-time brought a huddle, a song, and three points that keep the U16s top of the regional league.
